Each one-week, at-home program includes everything you need to care for newly hatched baby chicks — and ducklings when available — in the comfort of your home.
Our experiences are designed to be simple, hands-on, and educational for families who want to connect with nature and learn about life on the farm. You’ll receive a complete setup with a brooder, bedding, feed, and detailed care instructions — no hatching required.

If ducklings are unavailable, your Little Nest experience will include three baby chicks.

At Two Little Acres in southwest Charlotte, our Little Nest and Little Flock experiences let families bring the joy of baby animals home for a week.
You’ll care for newly hatched chicks (and ducklings when available) in your own home — everything is included, and every moment is filled with simple, meaningful connection.

Care for three baby chicks, ages 1–3 weeks old, for one week in your home.

Chicks and Ducklings are very fragile — please supervise all handling closely, especially with children under 4.

All pick-ups are self-serve at Two Little Acres Farm in southwest Charlotte, convenient to Fort Mill, Steele Creek, Lake Wylie, and Tega Cay.
Please text (980) 263-9556 the morning of your scheduled pick-up with your estimated time of arrival and a 2-hour window.
Pick-ups are generally available on Fridays, but other dates or flexible arrangements may be possible — text to inquire about availability.
At the end of your week, simply return your chicks to the farm, where they’ll rejoin our pasture-raised, soy-free organic flock and live happy farm lives.
